Christmas is simply one of the most celebrated dates among Christians. Besides representing the Birth of Christ, the date is marked by symbols that have been inserted in history over the years, such as the Christmas Crib.

According to historical sources, the first crib was assembled by St. Francis of Assisi on Christmas 1223. The Catholic friar set up a crib in clay in the Greccio (Italian Local Community of Lazio) forest, his idea was to assemble the crib to explain to people its meaning and how was the birth of Jesus Christ.

In the eighteenth century, the tradition of setting up the crib inside family homes became popular in Europe and then in other regions of the world.

And so it became tradition in various regions of the world to assemble the crib at Christmas time.
